When I read Sharon Gross’s article in “Cloth Scissors Paper,” I had to try her technique! I simplified it for my art journal…cover the page with gesso, let dry. Lay down several colors of watered down acrylic. Paint the stems side of a dry leaf with fluid acrylic, and lay down on paper. Cover with a paper towel and lightly go over it with a brayer. Once you have your leaves printed, stamp textures or use a toothbrush to flick watered down acrylics for a spray paint effect. This would be a fun project to do with children to replace the leaves in wax paper habit.
